Tradition has it since 1994 that at this time of year we would be girding our loins, cleaning our clubs & charging our Cocktail glasses in anticipation of the FOX Memorial Golf Tourney & Sig Bonding Weekend. As many of you know, we have put our beloved home ‘Reverie' up for sale. The agreement with the realtor provides that she can have a viewing of the property on 1 hour’s notice. You can perhaps appreciate that having 15+ layabouts on the property for 3+ days could cramp her style. I have checked out several alternative lodging options, but sadly have had no success for what is still a popular weekend in Muskoka post-Labour Day. I even secured favourable tee-times at Taboo & Deerhurst in the hopes either that the property would have sold, or we could stay elsewhere. With the Fall being traditionally the peak sales season on Lake of Bays, I can’t risk missing an opportunity.
I am still highly committed to the FOX’s dedication to friendship & Brotherhood. Hopefully, next year we’ll see its resurgence.
