They are coming. Your western gaggle of Gamma Rhos have been hard at it, engaging in multiple conversations over recent weeks. The outcome is, STC18/Connor Memorial is on! Mark your calendars. In the week of May 23- 28, we will return to tall tales, errant shot making and the spectacular scenery of western Canada. This year we have chosen a completely unique locale, the Sunshine Coast. This area of BC is a short ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay, a ferry terminal located about 14 miles north of Vancouver. It is on the mainland, but inaccessible by road. It is scenic, intimate and charming, consisting of a variety of small communities along the coast. There are two championship golf courses and we have our own insightful and engaging tour guide, Brother Hopgood. Dave has been enjoying Nancy’s cottage for 10 years in Sechelt and knows the area well. He tells me we can expect temperatures in the low 20s. Accommodations are currently booked for 8. Presently we have 5 brothers committed. Format will be similar to past events. Three days of golf, many hours of cocktails and a free day for exploring and sightseeing. We hope to find an opportunity to get out on the water. Details to follow. You will love this area. We are looking for a commitment by April 1. Be there or be square. Colbs |
