Brothers
It is with enormous sadness and sorrow that I am letting you know that our Brother Eric Durnford has passed into the Chapter Eternal. I just spoke with Nancy Barteaux and she told me he passed in his sleep at his sister place in Red Deer whom he was visiting after the fabulous time he had at the STC event in Kelowna.
Sadly Eric and I were to meet for a coffee upon his return after having postponed it a couple of times because of our schedules….a clear message to not postpone any opportunity you have to spend with a family member….life is so damn short.
Eric was my big brother at Sig. He married Penny Cunningham, a high school classmate of mine who challenged me for scholastic achievements and who asked Eric to rush me at Sigma Chi before I knew what fraternities were
Nancy has asked that we keep the response downlow as her and the family are still gathering their thoughts and emotions.
